Spinning a tale of tangled romance which explores the complications resulting when gender identity and the fever of love collide, Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies.

Fall Opera: Haydn’s "il mondo della luna"
Haydn’s little-known farcical drama, penned in 1777, was one of the first operas to feature lunar travel. In this tangled tale of love and deceit, a controlling father is tricked into believing he’s on the moon and is ultimately convinced to allow his daughters to marry the husbands of their own choosing. Noel Koran directs. Meena Hwang conducts.

Alonzo King's LINES Ballet
Whether collaborating with jazz great Pharoah Sanders, a group of African pygmy dancers or tabla master Zakir Hussain, Alonzo King creates dance works that strip ballet of its traditional formalities and push it into intriguing, new territory.
